As part of our project to promote awareness on drug addiction in Nigeria, we are excited to present our interview with Dr Garba Uthman Sadiq (B.Pharm., M.H.P.M., M.Sc., Ph.D., F.P.C. Pharm.), an Associate Professor of Neuro-pharmacology and Toxicology and a Consultant Pharmacist in Teaching Hospital of the University of Maiduguri.
It has now been several weeks since the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), a coalition of Nigerian academic staff, went on strike in demand for better funding for the nation`s tertiary institutions that would create better enabling atmosphere for teaching and research at international levels in Nigeria. Ikhide Imumorin the major problem is more a lack of will from the universities management.
Today, we are excited to present Professor Owoyele, a professor of physiology at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria and a visiting Fellow at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, USA. His research works to find a solution to pain perception.
