During the "Madagascar Innovation Night", young scientists presented their work to industrialists.
"I am both a teacher-researcher and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. I am now in my fifth year as head of this department. From the beginning, I began to value the role of research in society, its contribution to development.
In practical terms, there is a platform for discussion, sharing and partnership development between the world of research and business, in order to achieve common goals. Then recently again we had the "Madagascar Innovation Night". With the Madagascar Industrialists' Union, we have established an agreement for industrialists to work with young scientists. The young scientists, during this Night presented the results of their research and the industrialists were there. There are many events like this that have been created to show the research that young scientists do for society.
And finally, when it comes to funding, it is true that research funding is too scarced. We created what we call FIER: a basket fund. We invited traditional donors and also operators to put a certain amount of money in it, first and foremost the government."
